Education
After completing my Master’s Degree in Information Systems Design from the University of Toronto in 2012, I began my career in digital agencies as a UX designer. A few years into my career, I expanded my skill set to include design research, beginning with moderating usability testing sessions.
I developed a true passion for user research and moved exclusively into that field, expanding my skill set to more generative research activities including workshop facilitation, customer journey mapping, persona creation, ethnographic research & diary studies.
In my time working at digital agencies, I have advocated for user research relentlessly, sharing the principles of design research with other disciplines and identifying opportunities to build user research into digital projects. My worst fear is research findings that languish away in a deck, and I believe in collaborating with both internal teams and stakeholders to develop buy-in on the practice of research and ensure that research findings are actionable.
